Frankfurt is known as an international trade fair city, which means it is more than geared up to accommodate the thousands of people who visit each week. There are around 5,000 beds just within a 15-minute walk of the Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds.
The city’s official tourism website at http://www.frankfurt.de/sixcms/detail.php?id=317590 gives Frankfurt the status of one of the world’s oldest trade fair cities, which means that plenty of experience has gone into the hotel sector.
The city plays host to a vast array of specialist fairs and exhibitions, counting around 51 each year just at the Messe Frankfurt GmbH exhibition grounds. This has ten halls and more than 96,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition space and gives Frankfurt the title of having the world’s third-biggest exhibition ground.
The events range from the IFFA Messe Frankfurt to the renowned Ambiente. If you are visiting IFFA as a member of the food processing sector such as ClarkeFussells or are hoping to meet project partners at Ambiente, hotel accommodation of a good standard is not difficult to find within easy reach of the fairs.
